PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will extend the contract for the period of November 5, 2024 through April 4, 2025 and adds funding to support continuation of service while a new procurement process is complete. The resolicitation is projected to be issued in October 2024.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 0001-081-3824-3197.
APPROVALS:
The Corrections Department concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On January 9, 2018 the Board authorized award of Invitation for Bids Y17-192-KB in the amount of $5,565,332.16 for a three-year term and authorized the Procurement Division to renew for two additional one-year terms. A novation agreement was executed on December 14, 2021, which changed the contractor from G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. to Universal Protection Service, LLC.
Previous contract amendments are as follows:
Amendment No. 1: Added a line item for an additional location and increased the contract amount by $160,143.36, for a revised estimated contract amount of $5,725,475.52.
Amendment No. 2: Corrected the Federal I.D. number. The total estimated contract amount remained unchanged.
Amendment No. 3: Changed the scope of services for two locations. The total estimated contract amount remained unchanged.
Amendment No. 4: Renewed the contract for the period of March 5, 2021 through March 4, 2022 and increased the contract amount by $80,610.16, for a revised estimated contract amount of $1,989,102. The contract increase was validated through the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, Consumer Price Index (CPI).
Amendment No. 5: Renewed the contract for the period of March 5, 2022 through March 4, 2023 and increased the contract amount by $245,186.32, for a revised estimated contract amount of $2,234,288.32. The contract increase was validated through the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, CPI. Board approval was obtained on March 2, 2022.
Amendment No. 6: Added funding in the amount of $111,714.42, for a revised amount of $2,346,002.74. This funding was necessary to support operational needs based on usage to date.
Amendment No. 7: Extended the contract period of March 4, 2023 through September 3, 2023 and increased the estimated contract total by $1,500,000, for a revised amount of $3,846,002.74. Board approval was obtained on February 21, 2023.
Amendment No. 8: Extended the contract period of September 4, 2023 through October 3, 2023. The total estimated contract amount remained unchanged.
Amendment No. 9: Extended the contract period of October 4, 2023 through April 3, 2024 and increased the estimated contract total by $1,100,000, for a revised amount of $5,346,002.74. Board approval was obtained on September 12, 2023.
Amendment No. 10: Extended the contract period of April 5, 2024 through October 4, 2024 and increased the estimated contract total by $1,800,000, for a revised amount of $7,146,002.74. Board approval was obtained on March 26, 2024.
Amendment No. 11: Extended the contract period of October 5, 2024 through November 4, 2024 and increased the estimated contract total by $357,300.14, for a revised amount of $7,503,302.88.
