The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

PROJECT:

PURPOSE: Working with state and regional agencies to ensure a clean environment and a sustainable water supply for our citizens, Orange County continues to develop innovative projects designed to achieve water conservation and water quality.  In 2024, the Board was awarded funding through the St Johns River Water Management District’s (SJRWMD) cost-share program for the following project: 

• Contract 40943 Orange County Commercial Accounts Water Wise Neighbor Program Conservation 

This Agreement provides cost-share dollars that will enable Orange County Utilities Water Division to incentivize commercial customers to implement water savings best management practices to retrofit high flow indoor faucets and efficient outdoor irrigation systems. 

Implementation of the cost-share program is $103,004.  $51,502 (50%) will be reimbursed by SJRWMD upon task completion. 

The County Attorney’s Office and Risk Management Division have reviewed the Agreement.  The County Attorney’s Office finds it acceptable as to form. Risk Management does not agree with the language as written in the Agreement but understands the Florida Department of Environmental Protection requires this language, will not agree to amend it, and that it must be included in the Agreement in order to proceed and avoid a potential contract claim.  Utilities Department staff has reviewed the Agreement and made a business decision to move forward and recommends approval.
