The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

PROCUREMENT:

This amendment will provide additional funds for continuing homeless services to outer regions of Orange County in the form of medical and mental health services. The additional funds will promote access to long-acting psychotropic injectables to Orange County residents with behavioral health needs that are unhoused and/or precariously housed in west Orange County, with a focus on serving those living in encampments. Any unhoused and/or precariously housed resident may seek services Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 4 PM, on site at Matthew’s Hope in Winter Garden.

FUNDING:

Funding is available in account number 5896-019-8610-18610. This subaward utilizes funds from the American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund.

APPROVALS:

The Mental Health and Homelessness Division concurs with this recommendation.

REMARKS:

Matthews Hope Ministries, Inc. currently serves approximately 125 individuals monthly with medical and behavioral health services. These additional funds will continue to support on-going care and care for new individuals who may seek these vital medical services. Matthews Hope is the only center in west Orange County that has comprehensive day services with medical overlay for the homeless.

The Board authorized award of Y23-2406 on September 12, 2023 to Matthews Hope Ministries, Inc. in the amount of $925,952 for a one-year term. Previous contract amendments are as follows:

 

Amendment No. 1: Extended term for one year, until July 31, 2025.

Amendment No. 2: Extended term for 13 months, until September 30, 2026.
