PURPOSE:
Contributions:
Florida Missing Children’s Day Foundation, Inc. - $500. This contribution provides funding for honoring law enforcement officers and citizens who have assisted in missing children cases and to raise statewide awareness to help prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation during their annual Florida Missing Children’s Day ceremonies scheduled for 2025. The event will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum in Tallahassee, Florida.
The Faine House - $3,500. This organization is led by community leaders empowering young adults aging out of foster care, and/or on the brink of homelessness, to choose a path to independence. They restore and lift hopes and dreams dulled or lost due to trauma and scarcity. The Faine House is hosting its Evening of Hope Annual Gala “Derby Day” event on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Friendship Foundation, Inc. - $2,000. This organization awards scholarships to local high school seniors to pursue a college degree. A college educated kid is less likely to get involved in crime, thus reducing crime in our community. The Friendship Foundation of Central Florida is hosting its 22nd Annual Founders Golf Tournament on August 2, 2025, at Stoneybrook West Golf Club in Winter Garden, Florida.
Harbor House of Central Florida - $1,500. This organization is committed to providing comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and to providing domestic violence education to Central Florida communities. The 14th Annual Paws for Peach Walk will be held on April 26, 2025, at Harbor Park in Orlando, Florida.
The VERB Kind - $1,000. This contribution will assist this organization’s mentoring program that reaches the youth inside the walls of a juvenile detention center and gives them a second chance through mentoring, education, and connecting them with community resources. The VERB Kind’s Mentor Refresh Training will be held on May 3, 2025, at the Southern Box in College Park, Florida.
