The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

PROCUREMENT:

The contracts will provide class 8 vehicles such as Kenworth, Mack, International, Freightliner, Sterling, and Peterbilt repairs, maintenance, and replacement parts for the Solid Waste vehicle fleet.

FUNDING:

Funding is available on account number 4410-038-1025-3820.

APPROVALS:

The Solid Waste Division and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.

REMARKS:

Three bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids and evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. The low responsive and responsible bidders, Nextran Corporation dba Nextran Truck Center Orlando and Rush Truck Centers of Florida, Inc. dba Rush Truck Center Orlando, have the necessary work force and experience to perform.

 

Nextran Corporation dba Nextran Truck Center Orlando and Rush Truck Centers of Florida, Inc. dba Rush Truck Center Orlando meets all specifications and requirements of the solicitation. The bidders have a satisfactory record of performance, as they have provided these services to the County for the past several years. Therefore, award is recommended to Nextran Corporation dba Nextran Truck Center Orlando for Lots A, B, D, E and F and Rush Truck Centers of Florida, Inc. dba Rush Truck Center Orlando for Lot C.
