PROCUREMENT:
This amendment authorizes additional professional services for West Oak Ridge Road at Double Eagle Boulevard - Signal and Miscellaneous Roadway Design. The scope of the additional services includes surveying and professional engineering design services for construction plans for unforeseen design items, including additional Temporary Construction Easements with Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) and Millenia Park Tower VIII LLC, structural design for relocated Lynx bus facilities, and lighting design for altered Westridge Middle School Entrance Road for the proposed reconstruction of the intersection of West Oak Ridge Road at Double Eagle Drive. These project additions resulted from coordination with Lynx and OCPS to address and meet all stakeholders’ needs. This project is in District 6.
FUNDING:
Funding is available on account number 1004-072-2720-3197.
APPROVALS:
The Traffic Engineering Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On May 21, 2024, the Board approved the selection of Avcon, Inc. to provide professional services through continuing contract Y24-902A which was executed September 30, 2024. On July 2, 2025, Task Authorization No. 9 was issued for the design of the West Oak Ridge Road at Double Eagle Boulevard - Signal and Miscellaneous Roadway in the total task authorization amount of $168,640.11.
Previous change order to Task Authorization No. 9 is as follows:
Change Order No. 1: Added funds for additional services in the amount of $111,467.02, for a revised total amount of $280,107.13.
