PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will modify the scope of services Sections 8.B and 8.D - Quarterly Testing Specifications and increases the contract value amount to support the 4% unit price escalation of Amendment No. 16 for the period of April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027. The escalation in Amendment No. 16 was supported by the Consumer Price Index as published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Funding is available in account numbers 1009-034-0672-3810, 0001-043-1713-3197, 0001-043-1715-3197, 0001-043-1716-3197, 0001-043-1718-3197, and 0001-043-1719-3197.
APPROVALS:
The Facilities Management Division and Security Guard Contract Committee concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On February 11, 2020, the Board authorized award of Request for Proposals Y19-1105-KB to G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. in the estimated total contract amount of $5,199,592 for a one-year term with six additional one-year renewals. A novation agreement was executed on December 14, 2021, which assigned the contractor to Universal Protection Service, LLC.
Previous contract amendments are as follows:
Amendment No. 1: Added and modified provisions to the scope of services 1. The estimated contract amount remained unchanged.
Amendment No. 2: Renewed the period from April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022. The estimated contract amount remained unchanged.
Amendment No.3: Renewed the period from April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022. The contract amount increased by $452,364.50, for a revised estimated contract amount of $5,651,956.50. Board approval was obtained on March 8, 2022.
Amendment No. 4: Increased the contract by $50,000, for a revised estimated contract amount of $5,701,956.50.
Amendment No. 5: Increased the contract by $12,000, for a revised estimated contract amount of $5,713,956.50.
Amendment No. 6: Extended the contract term from April 1, 2023 through May 31, 2023. The contract amount increased by $952,000, for a revised estimated contract amount of $6,665,956.50. Board approval was obtained on May 23, 2023.
Amendment No. 7: Renewed the contract term from June 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024. The contract amount increased by $565,195.65, for a revised estimated contract amount of $7,231,152.15. Board approval was obtained on May 23, 2023.
Amendment No. 8: Increased the contract by $300,000, for a revised estimated contract amount of $7,531,152.15.
Amendment No. 9: Modified the Scope of Services Sections 5, 13, and 14. No amount change to the estimated contract amount.
Amendment No. 10: Renewed the contract term for the period of April 4, 2024 through March 31, 2025. The contract amount increased by $621,715.22, for a revised estimated contract amount of $8,152,867.37. Board approval was obtained on March 26, 2024.
Amendment No. 11: Increased the contract by $407,000, for a revised estimated contract amount of $8,559,867.37.
Amendment No. 12: Increased the contract by $327,472.64, for a revised estimated contract amount of $8,887,340.01.
Amendment No. 13: Modified the Scope of Services Sections 7, 8, and 13. No amount change to the estimated contract amount.
Amendment No. 14: Concurrently renewed the contract term for the period of April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026, and April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027. The contract amount increased by $2,898.72, for a revised estimated contract amount of $8,890,238.73.
Amendment No. 15: Corrected the estimated contract amounts for the two remaining one- year renewal periods from $8,890,238.73 to $9,160,894.70, corrected the not-to-exceed aggregate contract amount from $55,881,593.98 to $50,853,422.06, and modified the Scope of Services Section 20.
Amendment No. 16: Increased all unit prices by 4% for the renewal period April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027. No dollar amount change to the estimated contract amount.
