PROCUREMENT:
This change order authorizes additional professional services for the Seidel Road at Summerlake Groves Street Signal Improvement project. Following submittal of the Permit Exemption, the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) determined that an Individual Permit with Minor Modification is required. This requirement was unforeseen and was not anticipated as part of the original project scope, as it exceeds permitting requirements previously applied to similar Orange County projects.
Additional services are required to address the Request for Additional Information issued by the SJRWMD and complete the permitting process. This project is located in District 1.
FUNDING:
Funding is available on account number 1004-072-2720-3197.
APPROVALS:
The Traffic Engineering Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On May 21, 2024, the Board approved the selection of DRMP, Inc. to provide professional services through continuing contract Y24-902B that was executed September 5, 2024. Subsequently, Task Authorization No. 3 was issued for the design and post-design of construction plans for traffic signalization and miscellaneous roadway improvements at the intersection of Seidel Road at Summerlake Groves Street and Seidel Road at Golden Harbor Lane in the total task authorization amount of $189,967.86. The Task Authorization was issued July 18, 2025.
Previous change orders to Task Authorization No. 3 are as follows:
Change Order No. 1: Added funds for additional services in the amount of $27,499.23, for a revised total amount of $217,467.09.
Change Order No. 2: Added funds for additional services in the amount of $78,088.38, for a revised total amount of $295,555.47.
