PROCUREMENT:

The contract will dispense federal grant funds from the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part A from the U.S. Health Resource and Service Administration (HRSA) to agencies for the provision of health and support services for people with HIV. The purpose of this funding is to provide medical, mental, and oral health services to eligible clients located in eligible metropolitan areas (Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Lake Counties). The performance period is March 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026.

FUNDING:

Funding is available in account number 7015-060-7302-8610. Funding is being provided through a federal grant from HRSA.

APPROVALS:

The Health Services Department and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.

REMARKS:

Three proposals were received in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP) and were evaluated in accordance with the criteria contained in the RFP.  It is estimated that the funding will serve 700 people with HIV per grant year.

The proposals were evaluated by a panel on November 1, 2024, as part of the Health Services Department’s Zoom Grants Application System, which consisted of a select group of appointed individuals.  The agency with the highest-ranked score was recommended for funding for the Expansion of Medical Services.
