REMARKS: This new License Agreement with University of Central Florida Research Foundation, Inc. for Center for Public and Nonprofit Management (CPNM) is to provide facility use in the John Bridges Community Center located at 445 West 13th Street, Apopka, Florida 32703.
CPNM strives to empower individuals and nonprofit organizations by providing technical troubleshooting, device management and navigation, and a digital literacy and skills training program with a wide range of administrative and program related tasks that support their overall success.
The attached Exhibit F outlines the Innovation Office’s vision for the program, as well as the community need, the programmatic approach that will be employed by UCF, and the additional funding sources for the program provided by the county.
This program is funded by Orange County government, and the agency has agreed to report outcomes associated with this program to Community Action Division staff.
The Board desires that the community centers owned and managed by the County be used in a manner that publicly benefits the County’s residents and has designated the Manager of the Community Action Division to be responsible for arranging, managing, and supervising the public use of the County’s community centers for the County’s residents.
