PROJECT:
Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Contract Number GC925 for Storage Tanks Compliance Program

PURPOSE: FDEP Contract GC925 requires Orange County to perform compliance inspections, compliance assistance, and specific enforcement activities throughout five counties in accordance with Chapters 62-761 and 62-762, Florida Administrative Code. In exchange for completion of contractual tasks, the state fully funds the program. FDEP Contract GC925 spans 10 years and was approved by the Board in May 2017.  An Amended and Restated Contract was approved by the Board in June 2018.  To fully fund the program until the 10-year contract obligations end on June 30, 2027, FDEP has issued Amendment #3 to FDEP Contract GC925.

Per Amendment #3, Paragraph 5 A, compensation is hereby revised to increase the maximum compensation amount of the Contract from $8,727,854.00 to $9,812,717.64, an increase of $1,084,863.64 to allow for additional services.  The original value of the of the contract ($8,727,854.00) includes the cost to the Contractor for Department sponsored travel and training. Amendment #3 adds to the current Task Assignment #9 ($1,007,774.56) to secure the funding for Task Assignment #10 at close to the same amount ($1,084,863.64). The FDEP Contract GC925, Budget Amendment #3 was reviewed by the County Attorney’s Office.
