Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y24-1026-JA, HVAC Preventative Maintenance and Repairs for Leased Facilities to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Air Mechanical & Service Corp. in the estimated contract award of $653,465 for a five-year term.
In the event the bidder recommended above fails to achieve timely compliance with pre-award deliverables, as defined in the Invitation for Bids, including, but not limited to, M/WBE participation sub-contract agreements, State Division of Corporations registration, E-verify, insurance and bonds, further request authorization for the Procurement Division to award to the next low responsive and responsible bidder as listed in the bid tabulation herein, to the extent practicable and advantageous to the County. PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide all labor and equipment necessary to perform preventative maintenance inspections and as-needed repairs on HVAC equipment in the County’s leased buildings.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account numbers: 0001-043-0201-3810, 0001-060-2502-3810, 1009-034-0672-3810, and 1248-043-0857-3810.
APPROVALS:
The Facilities Management and Business Development Divisions concur with the recommendation.
REMARKS:
Eight bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and evaluated for price , responsiveness, and responsibility. Price reasonableness was established by the comparison of contracted rates with Hillsborough County and Orange County Utilities, and consideration of current market conditions. Sherman Mechanical Contractors and Strut Mechanical, Inc. were deemed non-responsible for failure to satisfy the reference requirements prescribed in the IFB. Air Mechanical & Service Corp. meets all the requirements of this solicitation. Therefore, award is recommended to Air Mechanical & Service Corp.
