The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

PROCUREMENT:

The consultant will represent the County before the Governor, Cabinet, and Florida Legislature, including its committees and state agencies by providing a full range of professional lobbying and advocacy services.   The consultant will work closely with the Legislative Affairs Director, Chief of Staff, County Administrator, and appropriate staff to develop the County’s legislative agenda and associated strategies.

FUNDING:

Funding is available in account number 0001-023-0390-3167.

DISCUSSION:

Nine proposals were received in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP).  GBGM Consulting was deemed non-responsive for failure to submit documents required in the RFP.

The consultant will be responsible for communicating the County’s state legislative agenda and issues to members of the Legislature, Governor, Cabinet, executive departments, and agencies. Additionally, the consultant will identify areas of potential concern or opportunity that relate to the County’s legislative agenda and provide assistance to County staff in the development, review, and follow-up associated with advocating for the County.

The proposals were evaluated by the Procurement Committee on September 11, 2024.

Commissioner Christine Moore was assigned to the Procurement Committee.
