PROJECT:
Administration Center Fire Alarm System Replacement

 

PURPOSE: To provide funding for additional construction services to complete the capital improvements.

 

BUDGET: Accounting Line Number:  1023-043-0263-3810

 

JUSTIFICATION/DISCUSSION:

This work included additional fire alarm devices to increase the visual coverage in 17 locations throughout the Administration Center.  This work was required by the City of Orlando Fire Department during the final inspection for this fire alarm replacement project.  Although the plans had been approved and permitted through the City of Orlando Building Department, the fire inspector required the additional devices be added to provide coverage for code compliance and life safety to close out the permit.

 

PREVIOUS ACTIONS TO THIS CONTRACT:

The Contract award was approved on August 24, 2021.

Additional fire alarm annunciator, monitoring modules, speakers, and smoke detectors
