Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y24-1009-KS, Splash Pad and Pool Services for Parks and Recreation, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Huffman Inc. dba Nuwave Pool for Lot A, in the estimated amount of $389,250 for a three-year term. Further request authorization of the Procurement Division to renew the contract for two additional one-year terms. PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide preventative maintenance and as-needed services for splash pads and pools for the Parks and Recreation Division. Services include pump and ground sprayers, chemical tanks, and sand filters for five splash pads and one pool within Orange County. Additional services include deck repairs, cleaning, prepping, and painting of pool surfaces, and maintaining the PH chemical levels at all locations.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1050-062-1801-3810.
APPROVALS:
The Parks and Recreation Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Three bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids and were evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. Price reasonableness was established by comparison to the current contract, Y18-1110. The bid from United Pool Maintenance LLC was deemed non-responsive for not submitting the minimum required references. The bid from USA Management was deemed non-responsive for adding additional agreements that conflict with the solicitation terms. Lot B received no bids; therefore it will not be awarded.
