The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. PROCUREMENT:

This amendment provides funding for a new Service Category Lot 1: Tenant-Based Rental Assistance to eligible HOPWA clients and expands services to Lot 2: Short-Term Rent, Utility and Mortgage Assistance, Lot 3: Permanent Housing Placement, Lot 4: Short-Term Housing Assistance, and Lot 6: Supported Services/Case Management. 

FUNDING:

Funding is available in account number 7738-060-7312-8610. Funding for this project is from the City of Orlando HOPWA grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

APPROVALS:

The Health Services Department concurs with this recommendation.

REMARKS:

On September 12, 2023, the Board authorized the award of Contract Y23-2506D to the Hope and Help Center of Central Florida, Inc., in the total contract award amount of $589,025 for a one-year term with three additional one-year renewals. This project is supported by HUD. The additional funding will allow the Hope and Help Center of Central Florida, Inc. to expand services to assist 50 households for the grant period through September 30, 2025.

Previous contract amendments are as follows:

Amendment No.1: Increased the contract by $34,975, for a revised total contract amount of $624,000 for the following service categories: Lot 2: Short-Term Rent, Utility and Mortgage Assistance, Lot 3: Permanent Housing Placement; Lot 4: Short-Term Housing Assistance, and Lot 6: Supported Services/Case Management; replaced Exhibit B in its entirety by Exhibit B (Rv.1).

Amendment No. 2: Renewed the contract for the period of October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025 and increased the Orientation Flat Rate  from $7,100 to $7,313, and the Fixed Price Rate from $12.98 to $13.37 per unit for "Exhibit A-2" Lot 2-Short-Term Rent, Utility and Mortgage Assistance, "Exhibit A-3" Lot 3-Permanent Housing Placement, "Exhibit A-4" Lot 4-Short-Term Housing Assistance, "Exhibit A-6" Lot 6-Supported Services/Case Management. All Exhibits as titled are replaced in their entirety inclusive of their original title as (Rv.1) [Ex. "Exhibit A-1 (Rv.1)"]. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
