Selection of one firm and an alternate to provide Design Services for Orange County Goldenrod Village, Request for Proposals Y26-811-JF from the following firms listed alphabetically:
• KMF Architects, LLC
• Fugleberg Koch, LLC dba FK Architecture
Request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to negotiate and execute a contract within the not exceed the budget of $1,900,000. Further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to formally terminate negotiations with the top ranked firm, if we are unable to come to a favorable negotiated agreement, and commence negotiations with the next ranked alternate, until a successful negotiation is reached. PROCUREMENT:
This project consists of the development of Goldenrod Village, a new supportive housing campus located in Orange County, Florida. The consultant shall design an approximately 34,000 square foot campus-style facility intended to provide transitional and supportive housing along with integrated community and support services. The project is needed to address the growing unhoused population within eastern Orange County. This project is located in District 3.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1023-062-2524-6210.
DISCUSSION:
Four proposals were received in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP). The Procurement Committee evaluated the proposals in accordance with the criteria set forth in this RFP. KCA Design Studios was deemed non-responsive for failure to submit required forms as prescribed in the RFP. The proposal from Miles Architecture Group scored too low for Board consideration.
The proposal was evaluated by the Procurement Committee on October 7, 2026. Commissioner Mayra Uribe was assigned to the Procurement Committee.
