PROCUREMENT:

This amendment adds funds for the inclusion of 41,184 adult breakfast meals for the remainder of the contract term which ends September 30, 2025.

FUNDING:

Funding is available in account number 7408-062-7524-4135 and 7008-062-7522-4135. Funds for this program are reimbursed by the State of Florida.

APPROVALS:

The Head Start Division concurs with this recommendation.

REMARKS:

On January 28, 2025, the Board authorized award of Y25-131-KS to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida dba Plates of Plenty, in an estimated annual contract amount $1,398,526.25 for a one-year term with further approval for the Procurement Division to renew the contract for four additional one-year terms.

In accordance with the State of Florida Bureau of Child Care Food Programs’ meals are identified on Attachment 7 for the school year. Adult breakfast meals ages six through eighteen were inadvertently omitted at the time of contract award.

Previous contract amendments are as follows:

                     Amendment No. 1: Added a line for box lunches and increased the contract amount by $60,516, for a revised estimated contract amount of $1,459,042.25.

 

                     Amendment No. 2: Added adult lunches and increased the contract amount by $64,564, for a revised estimated contract amount of $1,523,606.25.
