Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y26-751-LS, Orange TV Office Renovations, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Poli Construction Inc., in the total contract award amount of $1,046,851.
In the event the bidder recommended above fails to achieve timely compliance with pre-award deliverables, as defined in the Invitation for Bids, including, but not limited to, State Division of Corporations registration, E-verify, insurance and bonds, further request authorization for the Procurement Division to award to the next low responsive and responsible bidder as listed in the bid tabulation herein, to the extent practicable and advantageous to the County. PROCUREMENT:
This project is for approximately 16,000 SF of interior alteration within an existing office building for Orange TV, located on the Orange County Convention Center property. This project includes, but is not limited to, minor demolition of partitions, millwork, interior finishes and the renovation of existing restrooms in the office building. This project consists of reconfiguration of the space, new interior partitions, upgrades to interior finished, updated accessible restrooms, new breakroom, new ceilings in the open space, new furniture and new LED lighting. This project is located in District 6.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 1023-023-1786-3810.
APPROVALS:
The Capital Projects Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Eighteen bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. Daniel Jorge Management LLC requested and was approved to withdraw their bid. Creative Convenience Corporation was deemed non-responsive for failing to submit the project bid bond in the required format. Buildworx LLC and Jim’s Complete Construction Company were deemed non-responsive for failure to sign the bid bond submitted with their bid. Poli Construction Inc. has a satisfactory record of performance for this type of work and has been determined to be responsible. Therefore, award is recommended to Poli Construction Inc.
