PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will provide additional funding for the extension period executed via Amendment No. 3 for the period of July 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. The additional funding ensures continuity of services accompanied by calendar year funding. Programming provides comprehensive fitness programming, to include wellness and nutrition education components, with a focus on the overall health and holistic wellbeing of program participants. The funds authorized through this amendment will be utilized to provide an additional 13,043 additional hours of services to the community through the end of the extended contract term.

Funding is available in account number 0001-062-2556-8610.
APPROVALS:
In accordance with the Additional Funding Guidelines approved by the Citizens’ Commission for Children Advisory Board, contracted agencies may be considered for additional funding on a case-by-case basis, in the event that the agency has expended 75% or more of their funding by mid-year and has been monitored to ensure contract compliance. The Citizens’ Commission for Children Division concurs with this recommendation
REMARKS:
On June 22, 2021, the Board authorized award of Contract Y21-2004, with Capoeira for Tomorrow, Inc., in the amount of $245,000 for a one-year term. Capoeira for Tomorrow, Inc. is currently providing satisfactory services, and programmatic monitoring has demonstrated contract compliance. Funded programming under Contract Y21-2004 includes Physical Health Programming for Youth in Sector 3 (32808, 32810, 32811, and 32818), and Sector 5 (32839). Programming includes, but is not limited to, fitness-focused martial arts classes, Summer and school-break camps, peak personal performance training, nutrition education, and holistic wellness. The agency is projected to exceed the current contractual units of service prior to the conclusion of the Contract Year, further demonstrating the need for services in the identified communities.
Constituents may access services by contacting the agency directly, or by contacting the Citizens’ Commission for Children for referral. The agency’s outreach and recruitment plan for this program includes, but is not limited to, social media advertisement, referrals from school administrators or Department of Children and Families, Capoeira demonstrations and workshops, community events, Every Door Direct Marketing through the United States Postal Service targeting sector-specific zip codes and mail routes, signage and informational flyers, and fostering relationships as a Partner in Education with schools in the sector-specific residential zip codes.
Services are primarily provided at 7075 Kingspointe Parkway, Suite 10, Orlando, Florida 32819 in Commission District 6 and virtually. However, this funding award is not inclusive of all Physical Health and Recreational Programming for Youth funded by Orange County Government. Additional physical health and recreational programming for youth, funded through the Citizens Commission for Children Division, is listed below. Note that this list is not intended to be exhaustive.
All Orange County residents may have access to funded programs/services.
