Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y25-602-KS, Purchase of Concrete Truck to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Cumberland International Trucks of Florida, LLC, in the total award amount of $360,000.
In the event the bidder recommended above fails to achieve timely compliance with pre-award deliverables, as defined in the Invitation for Bids, including, but not limited to, M/WBE participation sub-contract agreements, State Division of Corporations registration, E-verify, insurance and bonds, further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to award to the next low responsive and responsible bidder as listed in the bid tabulation herein, to the extent practicable and advantageous to the County. PROCUREMENT:
This procurement will procure a new concrete truck to allow the Roads and Drainage Division to take care of potholes and other asphalt related repairs across the County. The new unit will be replacing an older unit that has met its useful life and ensure that the County can meet and take care of the needs of Orange County citizens and our guests in a timely manner.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 5896-019-8641-6430. This procurement is federally funded through the American Rescue Plan Act.
APPROVALS:
The Roads and Drainage Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Two bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) and were evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness.
Cumberland International Trucks of Florida, LLC has met all the requirements identified in the Invitation for Bids and has a satisfactory record of delivery for this type of purchase, therefore, award is recommended to Cumberland International Trucks of Florida, LLC.
