REMARKS: Pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), approved by the Board on December 15, 2020, Orange County currently leases space for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) K-9 training unit at VCC’s School of Public Safety located at 8600 Valencia College Lane, Orlando, Florida 32825.

This amendment is required to satisfy VCC’s insurance requirements by formally recognizing OCSO as the facility operator. Because OCSO is an independent constitutional office and maintains its own insurance coverage separate from the Board, it must be expressly identified in the MOU to ensure proper allocation of risk, insurance, and indemnification responsibility. This Amendment will also renew the current MOU, extending the expiration date from December 15, 2025 to December 14, 2030.
