The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

Legal Aid Society - $5,000.
This contribution provides funding for a sponsorship for the 18th Annual Breakfast of Champions fundraising event on November 13, 2025, that raises funding to provide free, quality legal services to qualified, low-income residents in Orange County.  The fundraising event will be held at the Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida.

PACE Center for Girls Inc. - $5,000.  This organization is a nationally recognized, researched-based model that emphasizes academics and social service as a path to a better future for girls and young women ages 11 through 18. A nonresidential delinquency prevention program with 21 locations across the state of Florida, PACE helps girls confront a wide range of serious risks including school failure, substance abuse, histories of abuse and neglect, and health and psychological issues.  The Believing in Girls Breakfast - The BIG 40, will be held on June 6, 2025, at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park Florida.

Community Crime Prevention Grant Program - $283,000. This program contribution will provide micro-grants ranging from $2,000 to $10,000 to thirty-four nonprofit organizations, neighborhood groups and others engaged in projects or programs that address neighborhood safety, crime prevention, and drug abuse education and prevention.  The Sheriff’s Office would like to provide micro-grants to the following recipients:

$10,000 to Total Restoration Transformation Center, for its youth program that serves children whose parents are incarcerated or otherwise involved in the criminal justice system.

$5,000 to Global Not Local Cares Inc., for its Champions of the Community Youth Program serving young people in East Winter Garden.

$10,000 to GROW Healthy Kids, for its GROW Steps Program, providing athletic shoes to children in need.

$5,000 to ACEs Matter, Inc., for its Operation Zip Code Heroes Program.

$8,500 to Eight Waves, for its Student Mentorship Program.

$8,500 to Let Your Voice Be Heard, for its Community Response Team Program, which provides mobile services for victims and survivors of violence.

$8,000 to She-Lion Foundation, for its Braiding and Financial Literacy Program for young women.

$10,000 to Informed Families/The Florida Partnership, for its Building Safe Homes, Smart Families Initiative.

$8,000 to United Foundation of Central Florida, for its Youth Summit: Empowering Youth for Community Transformation.

$6,735 to Recovery Connections of Central Florida, for its Mobile Recovery Support Services Program.

$8,000 to Paving the Way Foundation, for its Cyber Savvy Kids Online Safety Program.
