PROCUREMENT:

The Procurement Division projects to issue the re-solicitation by mid-March 2025.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 0001-081-3824-3197.
APPROVALS:

REMARKS:
On January 9, 2018 the Board authorized award of Contract Y17-192 to G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc., in the amount of $5,565,332.16 for a three-year term and authorized the Procurement Division to renew for two additional one-year terms. A novation agreement was executed on December 14, 2021, which changed the contractor from G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. to Universal Protection Service, LLC.
The re-solicitation process was delayed due to several necessary revisions to the medical response and training requirements for the Juvenile Assessment Center, that required guidance from the County Attorney. Additionally, modifications to the requirements for the Department of Juvenile Justice training further contributed to the postponement. These adjustments were essential to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, as well as to align the training specifications with the County’s objectives.
