PROCUREMENT:
This change order provides funding for an additional 1,040 man-hours required for staff augmentation services within the Traffic Engineering Division. The additional hours are necessary to support Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for the Y26-720-EB Seidel Road at Summerlake Park Boulevard Roundabout Improvement project throughout the full construction duration and project closeout phase. The construction timeline for Contract Y26-720 is estimated to take approximately 10 to 12 months, requiring CEI services to be provided throughout the entire construction process to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and contract requirements.
The additional CEI support will provide adequate staffing to perform daily construction inspections, coordinate with the contractor and project stakeholders, monitor project progress, maintain required project documentation, address field issues, and complete final project closeout activities.

Funding is available in account number 1002-072-2711-3179.
APPROVALS:
The Traffic Engineering Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On August 9, 2022, the Board approved the selection of CDM Smith, Inc. to provide CEI Services.
Task Authorization No. 11 was executed on October 2, 2024, in the amount of $121,118.40.
Previous change orders for this Task Authorization are as follows:
Change Order No. 1: Extended the completion date by 275 days.
Change Order No. 2: Added staff augmentation services and funding in the amount of $242,236.80, for a revised total amount of $363,355.20, and extended the completion date by 375 days.
