Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y25-146-AV, Crane and Hoist Inspection, Testing, and Certification, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Mobile Techs LLC, in the estimated contract award amount of $1,091,750 for a five-year term.
In the event the bidder recommended above fails to achieve timely compliance with pre-award deliverables, as defined in the Invitation for Bids, including, but not limited to, M/WBE participation sub-contract agreements, State Division of Corporations registration, E-verify, insurance and bonds, further request Board authorization for the Procurement Division to award to the next low responsive and responsible bidder as listed in the bid tabulation herein, to the extent practicable and advantageous to the County. PROCUREMENT:
This contract will provide crane and hoist inspection, testing and certification for the Water Division.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 4420-038-1324-3820.
APPROVALS:
The Utilities Water Division and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
This contract will provide services to perform inspection, testing and certification of cranes and hoists.
Three bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids and were evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. Material Handling Systems Inc was deemed non-responsible based on the results of the reference checks. Mobile Techs LLC has a satisfactory record of performance and is considered responsible. Therefore, the recommendation for award is made to Mobile Techs LLC.
