PROCUREMENT:

The existing Orange County bridge No. 754135 located at 4th Street over State Road 91 Florida Turnpike requires immediate repairs due to several deficiencies identified in recent inspections. The steel open girder beams and diaphragms show accelerated corrosion and heavy paint peeling, and some bridge pier anchor bolts are loose. If corrosion continues, it will weaken the steel, potentially compromising the bridge's structural integrity and the safety of travelers on both the bridge and the Turnpike. Prompt repairs are necessary to strengthen the bridge's superstructure and substructure and extend its service life. This project is located in District 1.

FUNDING:

Funding is available in account number 1004-072-2912-3816.

APPROVALS:

The Roads and Drainage Division concurs with this recommendation.
