The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

PURPOSE: Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) takes pride in offering the Teen Parent Program, a nurturing, voluntary initiative crafted to support pregnant and parenting students as they navigate both education and early parenthood with confidence. This program grants students two welcoming pathways: they may continue at their zoned high school with access to childcare vouchers, transportation, and credit-bearing parenting skills courses or they may thrive in the alternative Teen Parent Program site (BETA school), where small classes, tailored academic support, and on-site childcare are integrated seamlessly to ensure a caring learning environment.

 

This Referral Agreement serves as a vital partnership by identifying eligible students and connecting them with the Teen Parent Program, including access to wraparound services like housing assistance, counseling, healthcare referrals, and early childhood support. This agreement celebrates a true partnership and aligns with Orange County’s outreach and OCPS’s educational infrastructure, together weaving a safety net that holds both academic guidance and essential social services, facilitating holistic support for teen parents and their children.

 

There are no financial obligations as this Referral Agreement builds upon existing program frameworks at both the County and OCPS.
