PROCUREMENT:

This project consists of developing recommendations for the design and construction of the Long Lake Pump Station located in District 2 and the Verona Park Subdivision and Pump Station located in District 3.

The Long Lake and Verona Park projects are essential to reducing flood risks and improving the reliability of the County’s stormwater infrastructure. Long Lake has aging pumps, electrical equipment, and a leaking force main that require rehabilitation to ensure reliable operation during major storms. Verona Park has an underperforming pump station, inadequate neighborhood drainage, and downstream canal erosion issues. These improvements will restore pumping capacity, improve drainage, reduce flooding, and strengthen protection for surrounding communities.

FUNDING:

Funding is available in account numbers 5920-068-8717-59C - CDBG DR Ian PW Long Lake Pump Station Improvement, and 5920-068-8735-59V - CDBG DR Ian OC PW Verona Park Pump Station.

DISCUSSION:

Three proposals were received in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP). The Procurement Committee evaluated the proposals in accordance with the criteria set forth in this RFP.

The proposal was evaluated by the Procurement Committee on September 30, 2026.  Commissioner Michael Crabb was assigned to the Procurement Committee.

The procurement committee’s scores are attached.
