Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y25-718-CC, West Building Overhead Catwalk Lighting Installation, to the low responsive and responsible bidder, Facility Solutions Group, Inc., in the total contract award amount of $1,446,291. PROCUREMENT:
Work under this contract includes upgrading the existing lighting system on the catwalks in Hall A, Hall B, Hall C, Hall D, Hall E, and Hall F in the West Concourse. This effort encompasses the removal of the current lighting fixtures and the installation of new, energy efficient LED fixtures. The project is located in District 6.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 4430-035-0966-58-6210.
APPROVALS:
The Convention Center and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Four bids were received in response to the Invitation for Bids and evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. Echo ED Corp Electrical Contractor was deemed non-responsive for failing to complete the required forms of the Contract Compliance Packet. Anderson Place Construction, LLC was deemed non-responsive based on the analysis provided by the Business Development Division which identified that the M/WBE participation goal was not achieved, and sufficient good faith effort documentation was not provided. References provided were satisfactory for this type of work and Facility Solutions Group, Inc. has been determined to be responsible. A scope confirmation meeting was conducted, affirming the bid's fairness and reasonableness. The bid submitted by Facility Solutions Group, Inc. is considered reasonable based on the current economic environment. Therefore, award is recommended to Facility Solutions Group, Inc.
