The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. PURPOSE: The Membership and Mission Review Board (MMRB) is composed of nine members, one appointed from each of the county commission districts upon recommendation of the district commissioner, one appointed at large upon recommendation of the County Mayor, and two at large members nominated by the County Mayor or any County Commissioner and appointed by the full board. The district commissioner and County Mayor appointments must be confirmed by the Board of County Commissioners.
Meka Beacham recently resigned her position on the MMRB. She was serving in the District 6 representative category. Commissioner Scott is requesting Board confirmation of his appointment of Porcha Rucker to succeed Ms. Beacham with a term expiring December 31, 2026.
