The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. PURPOSE: At the February 10, 2026 Board meeting, the Board reached consensus to direct the County Attorney’s Office to prepare a resolution expressing the Board’s position regarding the potential conversion of industrial warehouses into U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing or detention facilities within unincorporated Orange County.
The attached resolution expresses the Board’s opposition to the conversion of any industrial warehouse(s) for that purpose and affirms the County’s commitment to protecting public health, safety, and welfare, County infrastructure, and established land use and development regulations.
