Approval of Invitation for Bids Y24-182-MV, Rental of Traffic Control Devices, to the low responsive and responsible bidders, MOTPlans.com LLC in the estimated contract award amount of $5,742,666.25 for a five-year term and Bob's Barricades, Inc. in the estimated contract award amount of $7,637,301.25 for a five-year term. PROCUREMENT:
These contracts will provide traffic control devices for Orange County divisions on an as-needed basis countywide.
FUNDING:
Funding is available through accounting lines 4420-038-1347-3610, 4420-038-1328-3610, and 4420-038-1358-3610.
APPROVALS:
The Utilities Department and the Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Four bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids and were evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. The low responsive and responsible bidders, MOTPlans.com LLC and Bob's Barricades, Inc,. have the necessary manpower and equipment to perform the contract. References for each demonstrated a satisfactory performance record. MOTPlans.com LLC and Bob's Barricades, Inc. meet all specifications and requirements of the solicitation.
MOTPlans.com LLC and Bob's Barricades, Inc. prices are consistent with City of Orlando and Florida Department of Transportation contracts with similar scope of services and current contract pricing. Therefore, award is recommended to MOTPlans.com LLC and Bob's Barricades, Inc.
