title
Approval of Change Order No. 2, Task Authorization No. 5, Contract Y23-905B, Continuing Water Quality Professional Services, with Geosyntec Consultants, Inc., in the amount of $100,691.42, for a revised total amount of $193,570.89. ([Planning, Environmental, and Developmental Services Department Environmental Protection Division] Procurement Division)
body
PROCUREMENT:
This change order funds the development of a 4e plan for 10 bacteria-impaired waterbodies. The 4e plan will consist of a water quality monitoring plan, source identification plan, a corrective action decision matrix, and a list of existing County-wide management activities. A workflow will be developed regarding how we will handle identified bacteria hotspots. A successful 4e plan will prevent bacterial total maximum daily load development for these waterbodies. During the review of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Biennial Assessment for Impaired Waters for this project, this alternative restoration plan was identified as a recommended path forward for bacteria impairments in the County.
FUNDING:
Funding is available in account number 0001-068-2422-3110.
APPROVALS:
The Environmental Protection Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
On December 12, 2023, the Board approved the selection of Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. to provide Continuing Water Quality Professional Services. Contract Y23-905B and associated pricing schedules show that current costs for comparable are reasonable and consistent with the current market.
