PROJECT: Housing Authority of the City of Winter Park Agreement for The Plymouth Project
PURPOSE: On March 24, 2020, the Board adopted Ordinance 2020-09 establishing the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) for the purpose of providing the financial resources and the leverage necessary to create and preserve affordable housing units in Orange County. The AHTF allows for the selection of projects through competitive processes such as a Request for Applications process. The Housing Authority of the City of Winter Park requested monetary assistance for a roof replacement of a senior affordable housing complex as part of the County’s annual Request for Applications.
The Housing and Community Development Division recommended the Project for $1,500,000 and identified the AHTF as a funding source for the Project. The project will consist of a roof replacement on The Plymouth, a 128,000 square foot, midrise, 196-unit affordable housing complex for seniors (62+). The project is located at 1550 Gay Road, Winter Park, Florida 32789.
The attached agreement outlines the project requirements, to include scope of work, project budget, and reporting and income requirements. The County Attorney’s Office has reviewed the agreement as to form.
