PROJECT: Approval of State-Funded Grant Agreement FY 2026-2027 Emergency Preparedness and Assistance Grant, Agreement Number A0721.
PURPOSE: The State of Florida Division of Emergency Management awarded Orange County the FY 2026-2027 State-Funded Emergency Preparedness and Assistance Grant (EMPA) in the amount of $105,806. These funds will be available July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The EMPA is an annual grant that allows Orange County to continue preparing, implementing, evaluating, and revising our Emergency Management Program. Orange County will be reimbursed for costs incurred in the satisfactory performance of work in an amount not to exceed $105,806. In accordance with the State FY 2026-2027 EMPA Agreement Exhibit 3 - EM Director Certification, Orange County will annually certify its commitment to employ and maintain a full-time Emergency Management Director to receive EMPA funding.
