PURPOSE:
Board approval is requested for the Jury Services funding agreement between Orange County, Florida, Orange County Clerk of the Courts, and the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in the amount of $423,813. Orange County has agreed to continue to facilitate monthly payments for this program and the Clerk of the Courts has agreed to monthly reimbursements of $35,317.75 to the County from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029. After fiscal year 2026-2027, an increase to the monthly amount will be based on the overall average percentage offered to all or a majority of the Clerk employees for each fiscal year through 2029 but shall not exceed four percent. As required by Article V of the State Constitution, the Clerk of Courts is responsible for funding this program.
