PROCUREMENT:
This amendment adds funds to support additional construction administration services due to unforeseen conditions caused by 25 months of construction delays, mainly from material and resource shortages, delivery issues, wet weather, private development construction conflicts, and failed inspections later requiring consultant reinspection. Extra efforts are needed for responding to addendum items, reviewing supplementary shop drawings, and managing these delays. This amendment covers additional construction administration engineering services beyond the original scope of the SWSA SRF project to account for the extended construction duration. The amendment also added 720 days to the project timeframe.

Funding is available in account number 4420-038-1506-0030-6340.
APPROVALS:
The Utilities Engineering Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
This amendment provides for additional engineering services required by the County for the SWSA SRF. The additional services are required for Hazen and Sawyer, P.C. to continue the construction administration services for the extended project construction phase.
