The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. PURPOSE: According to information I received from the Orange County Comptroller, Clerk of the Value Adjustment Board (VAB), the 2024 VAB hearings will not be completed by November 1, 2024.
As Tax Collector, in order to accomplish the timely issuance of the 2024 ad valorem tax notice, I respectfully request the Board of County Commissioners extend the tax roll prior to the anticipated completion of the 2024 VAB hearings, as authorized by Section 197.323, F.S.
