PROCUREMENT:
This change order adds funding to expand stakeholder coordination and consensus-building efforts associated with the evaluation of canal improvement alternatives. The change order provides for additional stakeholder and County meetings, incorporation of stakeholder input into the study reports, and the associated project management, quality control, and reporting services necessary to complete the project[CM1].
This change order is required to support additional stakeholder coordination and consensus-building efforts that were not anticipated during the development of the original scope and fee. As the evaluation of canal improvement alternatives progressed, stakeholders including Orange County, Town of Oakland, and Oakland Park Development requested additional meetings, review sessions, and opportunities to provide input on the proposed alternatives. These requests increased the level of coordination, documentation, and refinement required beyond the assumptions included in the original contract.
