In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. PURPOSE: On October 31, 2017, the Board approved Resolution No. 2017-M-43, creating the Tourist Development Tax Sports Incentive Committee (“Committee”). The Committee reviews applications for sports incentive funds authorized under the Tourist Development Plan and submits recommendations to the Board for final determination on funding requests. The Committee is comprised of seven members in the following categories:
chairperson selected by the Mayor and confirmed by the Board;
certified public accountant; citizen representative;
major Central Florida theme park representative;
Visit Orlando representative;
Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association representative; and
International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce representative.
The term of the International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce representative, Chris S. Mueller, expired December 31, 2025. Accordingly, the International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce has nominated Megan Dowdy to succeed Mr. Mueller with a term expiring December 31, 2028.
