The Clerk of the Board is responsible for keeping accurate minutes and maintaining Board records for each Board of County Commissioner (BCC) and Value Adjustment Board (VAB) meeting. In addition, every 4 years, the Clerk of the Board office provides staff support to the Charter Review Commission (CRC) appointed by the BCC. Please contact our office if you need an accessible version of documents on this page, and one will be provided.

Confirmation of the Mayor's managerial appointment of Kyle Kent as Manager, Parks and Recreation Division, Community and Family Services Department.

PURPOSE: I am pleased to announce the appointment of Kyle Kent as Manager of the Orange County Parks and Recreation Division, within the Community and Family Services Department.

Mr. Kent currently serves as the Assistant Manager for the Parks and Recreation Division and has served in this position since 2008. He has been member of the division's leadership since 1994, having risen from Site Supervisor to progressively responsible roles. He previously held positions within the Regional History Center and the Building Safety Division, resulting in a total of 37 years of service to the County. 

As a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional, Mr. Kent brings experience in managing the over $50 million budget that services 113 parks and 42 miles of multi-use trails. He has assisted with the overall administrative management of the division, including fiscal, technology, personnel, recreational services, risk management, park utilization, CIP and master planning. Mr. Kent is well equipped to take the Parks and Recreation Division to the next level. Contingent upon confirmation by the Board, this appointment will be effective October 26, 2025 with a starting annual salary of $157,500. His resume is attached for your reference.
