PURPOSE: Recommendation A.1. of the Mayor’s Transition Team was to create a culture of innovation within Orange County. In addition to training all county staff on design thinking methodologies, the county invested Federal Government dollars from the American Rescue Plan Act into revitalizing an old Gooding’s Supermarket and creating a Countywide Innovation Center to serve the community, businesses, and employees by creating a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) Engine in Pine Hills.
