PROJECT: N/A
PURPOSE: On April 29, 2026, the State Legislature, in special session, passed HB 1-D: Establishing the Congressional Districts of the State, which was subsequently signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis on May 4, 2026. This congressional redistricting required the Supervisor of Elections Office to review and develop recommendations for a revised precinct structure to align with the new congressional district boundaries, while ensuring precincts remain as contiguous and compact as practicable.
We have completed the proposed updates to the County's precinct boundary structure, as outlined below. Under the new structure, the Supervisor proposes to:
-Eliminate existing precincts 190, 212, 290, 590, 591, and 790;
-Create new precincts 191, 490, and 627;
-Reassign precinct numbers 190, 290, and 590 to new geographic areas; and
-Send new Voter Information Cards to 255,080 active registered voters (as of 5/13/26) whose congressional district or precinct number changed, as required by state law.
If approved, the updated precinct structure will take effect on or about June 4, 2026, and will be in place for the August 18, 2026, Primary Election and all subsequent elections, unless modified by future law.
The proposed precinct number ranges for each Commission District are as follows:
