Approval to award Invitation for Bids Y24-1070-MV, Class 8 Vehicle Parts and Repairs, to the low responsive and responsible bidders, Nextran Corporation dba Nextran Truck Center Orlando for Lots A, B, D, E and F in the estimated contract award amount of $9,056,250, and Rush Truck Centers of Florida, Inc. dba Rush Truck Center Orlando, for Lot C in the estimated contract award amount of $762,500 for a five-year term. PROCUREMENT:
The contracts will provide class 8 vehicles such as Kenworth, Mack, International, Freightliner, Sterling, and Peterbilt repairs, maintenance, and replacement parts for the Solid Waste vehicle fleet.
FUNDING:
Funding is available on account number 4410-038-1025-3820.
APPROVALS:
The Solid Waste Division and Business Development Division concur with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Three bids were received in response to this Invitation for Bids and evaluated for responsiveness, responsibility, and price reasonableness. The low responsive and responsible bidders, Nextran Corporation dba Nextran Truck Center Orlando and Rush Truck Centers of Florida, Inc. dba Rush Truck Center Orlando, have the necessary work force and experience to perform.
Nextran Corporation dba Nextran Truck Center Orlando and Rush Truck Centers of Florida, Inc. dba Rush Truck Center Orlando meets all specifications and requirements of the solicitation.
