PROCUREMENT:

This amendment adds funding to ensure continuity of fleet vehicle and equipment operations in response to inflation and increase usage driven by multiple factors, including weather conditions.

FUNDING:

Funding is available in account number 5530-043-2035-4164.

APPROVALS:

The Fleet Management Division concurs with this recommendation.

REMARKS:

The Fleet Management Division has seen an increase in usage of the contracted services, but the majority of the cost increase driving this request is due to the significant increase in the cost of tires. The cost of tires was expected to account for 57% of the annual contract amount. To date, the tire cost has accounted for 79% of the contract’s expenses.

On July 26, 2022, the Board authorized the award of Invitations for Bids Y22-142-MV to 3D Tire Services Company, Inc., in the estimated amount of $944,640 for a three-year term with two one-year renewal terms.

Previous contract amendment is as follows:

Amendment No. 1: Added funding in the amount of $50,000, for a revised estimated contract amount of $994,640.
