PURPOSE: Orange County through Orange County Corrections Department (OCCD) is partnering with Specialized Treatment Education and Prevention Services, Inc (STEPS) to provide care, coordination, and comprehensive needs of parents at the time of booking into OCCD.  OCCD will identify and refer inmates for services, assist STEPS by providing an appropriate housing location to meet with the inmate, and contact STEPS program specialist for consultation and coordination of care, as needed. The county contract liaison shall schedule quarterly meetings between parties to include Corrections Health Services. STEPS representatives shall interview inmates to determine program eligibility, provide diagnosis, supply appropriate forms, coordinate care plans, participate in phone conferences, and other services to ensure continuity of care upon release from OCCD. All program services and other items necessary for this program will be provided by STEPS.  No funding is required from Orange County.
