SUBJECT: Commission Recommendations Regarding Draft Transportation Related Proposed Expenditures
BACKGROUND:
On January 9, 2025, Orange County Public Works Deputy Director Brett Blackadar provided TransMAC the County’s draft Proposed Transportation Expenditures for the proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/2026 budget. As provided in Sec. 504 A. 1. d of the Orange County Charter, “TransMAC shall issue a written report to the board providing advisory recommendations as to priority and projected budget amounts for such Proposed Expenditures. Such report may also include recommendations relating to the scope, work plan, organization, and implementation of projects to be funded by the Proposed Expenditures.” The written report is due to the BCC no later than the third Friday of March of each year, in this case March 21, 2025.
During the March 13, 2025 meeting, TransMAC will hear public input, discuss and consider recommendations regarding the County’s draft Proposed Expenditures.
