PROCUREMENT:
This amendment will provide additional funding for the provision of supportive services for youth impacted by domestic violence, supporting an estimated additional 1,651 hours of direct service to approximately 100 unduplicated youth. The funding will be sourced from Children's Services Rollover Funding and must be utilized by the conclusion of the current contract year ending December 31, 2025.

APPROVALS:
The Citizens' Commission for Children Division concurs with this recommendation.
REMARKS:
Domestic Violence (DV) not only impacts the individual who experiences it but also has far reaching implications for children. The traumatic effects of witnessing or experiencing violence in any form for children can potentially include chronic illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease, mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, as well as behavioral problems. Further, it can impact their ability to learn, harm their emotional maturity, damage relationships, and influence a child's capacity for sound reasoning and decision-making.
