PROJECT:
N/A

PURPOSE:
A change order in the amount of $216,561 for the Orlo Vista Flood Mitigation Project is needed to cover the cost associated with the following: a) connecting two temporary pump discharge pipes to the pump station’s spare 30-inch spare discharge port and b) extending the emergency pumping from December 2024 through January 2025 to drawdown and maintain the West Pond water level at elevation 62 ft. The temporary pumps supplement the existing pump station's capacity and act as a backup to the pump station in case of failure during large storm events. This is critical to maximize available storage/flood protection in advance of the 2025 hurricane season.

The original Emergency Purchase order M114783 was approved by the Board on May 21, 2024, for the emergency pumping during the 2024 Hurricane Season (June through November).
